The In-Depth Look:
This is a cute little book filled with cute little purses.
They’re quite nice, really. They have some nice design elements, and look to be well thought out and assembled. But, of course, they’re all made from a single skein of yarn, so they’re not exactly, well, large.
If you’re looking to make a small, cute little bag, these are charming. If, like me, you tend to need larger bags then, well, this is still a cute little book.
Did I mention that I think the bags are cute? Mostly because they’re small, you understand. Not because they’re unsophisticated little bags that a teenybopper might carry around. There are definitely bags here that could be carried for an evening out with the classic lipstick-and-$20. And some of the details are nicely thought out so that the bags don’t all look “cute.” They are nice.
It’s just that they’re small … so, they’re cute.
The photos of the bags are clear–both for the bag itself but also for some of the detailing (handles, beads, cables, lining, etc.). The technique section at the front is thorough. The bags are listed in the table of contents. And generally, this is just a nice little book.
This book is available for $12.89 at Amazon.com.

The only real use I can see for such wee purses is going to a club when you need to take slightly more than you can stuff into your pockets (or you don’t have pockets). Since I go to a club about once every other year…
